If at any time while following a YUMs Yoga session you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day. If you have any concerns you must inform your yoga guide (Alicia) at the time the concern arises or at the latest, at the end of the session.
When undertaking any physical activity, including yoga, risk of serious physical injury is possible and participating in YUMs Yoga is no substitute for medical diagnosis and treatment.
You should always consult a physician prior to beginning YUMs Yoga and must have received advice that you are capable of participating in such exercise.
As yoga practice and/or specific poses are not recommended for individuals with certain conditions (e.g., cardiac illness, later stages of pregnancy, immediately post-surgery), it is your responsibility to notify Alicia of any serious illness, injury or surgery before every yoga class and in writing, and refrain from performing any postures to the extent of strain or pain.
When joining YUMs Yoga, you, the participant, assume the risk of yoga practice and release the instructor, Alicia Tan from any liability claims resulting from taking part in any live, written or recorded yoga instruction.
